Ferrari's Brut Blanc de Blanc is, as the name suggests, made entirely from white grapes. The winery began planting Chardonnay grapes in the 20th century. This is unique in Italy, where previously only indigenous grape varieties were used. Meet Guilio Ferrari had a clear vision and wanted to work specifically with Chardonnay, as it is the king grape of the Champagne region. The grapes are carefully harvested at peak ripeness and rigorously sorted in the winery. The Ferrari Maximum undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle, known as the Méthode Traditionelle.
It's time to uncork this gem from Trentino, a region in Northern Italy. The Ferrari Maximum erupts into a golden yellow in the glass, thanks to the use of beautiful Chardonnay grapes. The aroma offers a wide palette of toasted bread, brioche, flowers, and yellow fruit. A true aroma sensation! The palate boasts a lovely dry bubble, a powerful punch on the tongue, and a soft mousse on the palate. Fantastic white fruits like pear and peach alternate pleasantly with citrus. A deliciously toasted sparkling wine with a long finish. Cheers! Delicious with a festive breakfast or picnic. But also perfect with light Italian dishes.
