Buy or order Farnese wine
Anyone who says leading wineries must have a centuries-old history should definitely try a wine from Farnese Vini. This Italian winery, though relatively new, already boasts an impressive track record, including numerous medals for its stunning wines. But medals or no medals, the wines are truly delicious. Each wine in their vast selection is unique and of high quality. They embody all the Italian wine regions in which Farnese Vini operates.
The Italian wines of Farnese Vini
Farnese Vini isn't just any winery. With an annual export of approximately 13 million bottles, it's one of the larger wineries. It operates in several wine regions, such as the beautiful Abruzzo region and the robust Sicily. It also operates on a smaller scale in the southern Italian wine regions of Campania and Basilicata. However, its most important region is Puglia, a region that has been producing increasingly better wines over the past twenty years. Puglian wines are hip and trendy. Try a Farnese Vini variety for the ultimate experience.
The red wines of Farnese Vini
Farnese Vini has primarily planted local varieties in its breathtaking vineyards. Sangiovese, Negroamaro, and Primitivo take center stage. However, you'll also find other indigenous varieties such as Susumaniello, Montepulciano, Aglianico, and Malvasia Nera. Each grape is planted in the vineyards where it thrives. For example, Farnese Vini has planted Primitivo around the famous village of Manduria. Several of the winery's leading wines originate from here, such as the Zolla Primitivo di Manduria. Farnese Vini has primarily planted Sangiovese in its vineyards in Abruzzo. This is also where the iconic Don Camillo Farnese Sangiovese originates; a wine awarded a remarkable 93 points by the talented Italian wine journalist Luca Maroni.
The finest Italian wines from Farnese Vini
Farnese Vini boasts an impressive range. Year after year, diverse wine series emerge from the impressive cellars of this winery. Consider the entry-level I Muri, which offer exceptional quality for an entry-level wine. Or the exceptional Zolla wines, which perfectly capture the power of Puglia in your glass. Just like any other winery, Farnese Vini also boasts a few crown jewels. In our opinion, that's the Edizione Cinque Autoctoni Fantini. This red wine features the five indigenous grape varieties (Cinque Autoctoni) in a special role: Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Primitivo, Negroamaro, and Malvasia Nera.
