PLEASE NOTE THE COLOR OF THE GLASS MAY VARY DUE TO BOTTLE SHORTAGE IN THE WINE INDUSTRY. A young Spanish wine produced by Bodegas Alceno. The Verdejo grapes enjoy the ideal climate in Jumilla, allowing them to develop their finest qualities. The winemaker at Bodegas Alceno captures these qualities, resulting in a white wine with refreshing aromas and a balanced flavor.

The vineyards of Bodegas Alceno

Bodegas Alceno has been a family-owned winery in the heart of Jumilla since 1870. Merchant Roque Martinez founded the company and grew it into what it is today. The fourth generation of the Bastida family is now at the helm. Modern winemaking techniques are used without ever losing sight of tradition. The vineyards benefit from significant elevation changes and the corresponding soil structures. The soils are primarily stony, calcareous, sandy loam, and clayey. This allows Alceno to experiment extensively and thus vinify high-quality wines. The Verdejo grapes are given the time to ripen optimally and develop their beautiful qualities. At peak ripeness, the grapes are carefully harvested and then undergo a rigorous selection process. After this selection, only the very best grapes are retained for further vinification. The grapes are destemmed and carefully pressed. Alcoholic fermentation follows, followed by a few months of rest. Finally, the young wine is bottled in a stylish bottle.

What does Hilanda Verdejo taste like?

The Hilanda Verdejo emerges in the glass with a bright, light yellow color. Immediately, we detect refreshing aromas of white fruit and tropical fruits. It is a flavorful, medium-bodied wine. On the palate, it is balanced, with the acidity beautifully balancing the flavors. It continues to a fresh and fruity finish.
