Pure indulgence was our first thought when we tasted this beautiful Chardonnay from Sainte Anne. A Chardonnay aged in oak barrels, it has become incredibly popular. The Sainte Anne winery is part of the renowned Luc Pirlet estate, a well-known name in the Pays d'Oc wine region. Both the vineyards and the estate are located in the Pays d'Oc wine region. Here, the winemakers of Sainte Anne cultivate Chardonnay bunches on one of the oldest vines. These powerful bunches produce a very thick and full harvest, and that's reflected in this white wine.
Wood aging for the Sainte Anne Barriques Chardonnay
The Chardonnay bunches ripen perfectly on the old vines of Sainte Anne. The warm summers combined with the fresh ocean breeze give the harvest the perfect balance. This allows for extended ripening, resulting in a very full harvest for the Sainte Anne winemaker. This harvest is therefore partially harvested by hand and subject to strict controls. Only the finest Chardonnay bunches are used in this white wine. After pressing, this Sainte Anne Barriques Chardonnay is aged in French oak barrels, stored in the Sainte Anne cellars, giving this white wine its creamy and full character.
Full and very powerful this Sainte Anne Barriques Chardonnay
It's a joy to drink, and that's putting it mildly. Upon pouring, we notice a golden yellow color that tantalizes our senses. Its aroma is intense, bringing to mind notes of fresh peaches, roasted nuts, vanilla, and cedarwood. But let's not forget the exotic fruit that flows delightfully from the glass. On the palate, it's full and creamy with a tantalizing sensation of tropical fruit. The beautiful oak notes are clearly noticeable and also offer a hint of vanilla. The finish is long and very flavorful, and all for this price. Shhh, don't tell anyone!
