The Cuvée "Torri di Credazzo" is made by Follador from grapes sourced exclusively from their vineyard on the hill surrounding the Torre di Credazzo. A single-vineyard, top-quality prosecco. The Torre di Credazzo belongs to an ancient castle that once stood here a thousand years ago.

The family business Follador

In 1970, Gianfranco Follador began focusing on the production of sparkling wines in the Valdobbiadene region. He was one of the first to do so. His children inherited Gianfranco's passion for wine and Prosecco from a young age. Consequently, his son and three daughters are now all active in the business, along with their parents. Consumption of the sparkling wines, which were soon called Prosecco after the grape from which it was made, skyrocketed. In 2009, the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene region (the best area for Prosecco) received DOCG status. This was a reward for the winemakers' long-standing dedication to quality. The designation "Superiore" may also be added to the Prosecco name.

The special vinification for Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore

The grapes for this special Prosecco come from the estate's own vineyard, situated on the hillside surrounding Torri di Credazzo. The clay and chalky soil, combined with its southwest-facing location at an altitude of 280 meters, make this vineyard a prime location. The well-ripened grapes are harvested by hand, followed by twelve to eighteen hours of maceration. This is followed by primary fermentation in open vats and a secondary fermentation in an autoclave (a closed pressure tank) at a temperature of sixteen to eighteen degrees Celsius, lasting 90 to 120 days. This is called the long Charmat method. This top Prosecco boasts fine and persistent bubbles and aromas of apple, peach, and rose petals. It has a wonderfully smooth, full flavor with an uplifting finish. This Cuvée is a top Prosecco that pairs perfectly not only as a festive aperitif but also with risotto with fish or shellfish.
