Bodegas Anadas CARE Crianza Nativa 2022 is a barrel-aged red wine from DO Cariñena, made from Tempranillo and Merlot. What does Crianza mean in Spain? Tempranillo – Merlot, DO Cariñena
Tempranillo provides structure, fruit, and spices, while Merlot adds roundness and softness.
The wine undergoes a 6-day cold soak, followed by alcoholic fermentation at 26 °C. Afterwards, the wine remains in contact with the skins for another 15 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel, after which the wine ages for 8 months in American oak barrels.
On the nose, this Crianza shows a clean and intense aroma of ripe red and black fruit, spices, and minerals. The attack is rich and powerful, after which fruit notes and vanilla develop. The finish is long and characterized by persistent fruit.
Serve between 16 and 18 °C to best express its power, structure, and oak influence.
Bodegas Anadas was founded in 1935 and is one of the oldest family businesses in DO Cariñena. Under the CARE label, the winery produces wines where exclusivity, innovation, and respect for terroir are central. The name CARE refers to the ancient Roman name for Cariñena and to the care with which each wine is made. The labels, designed by Enrique Torrijos, symbolize sun and soil and emphasize the region's identity.
