Château Lynch-Bages Pauillac AC 5GCC 2020 – A new milestone in a great tradition
The 2020 vintage marks the beginning of a new chapter for Château Lynch-Bages. This is the first wine produced entirely in the château's brand-new cellar. The result is a powerful and refined Pauillac that perfectly combines the ripeness of the warm year with freshness, structure, and exceptional balance.
Vineyards and region: Pauillac, Bordeaux
Château Lynch-Bages is situated on the gravelly soils of Pauillac, in the Haut-Médoc. The vineyards benefit from optimal drainage and sunshine, allowing the grapes to develop deep concentration and aromatic complexity. The 2020 harvest saw early and regular flowering, followed by a dry and sunny summer, resulting in a healthy and perfectly ripe harvest.
Vinification and blend: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot dominated
The harvest took place between September 14 and 29, 2020. After careful selection, vinification took place in the new cellar, with malolactic fermentation partly in barrel and partly in barrique. The wine then matured for 18 months in French oak barrels , 75% of which were new .

Tasting notes: intense, structured and long
Lynch-Bages 2020 is an intense ruby red in color. The wine displays beautiful fruit ripeness, combined with vibrant freshness and good acidity. On the palate, it reveals a concentration carried by silky yet powerful tannins. The structure and length are impressive, with a refined balance that guarantees excellent aging potential.
Serving suggestion: patience is rewarded
This wine pairs perfectly with aged red meat, game, or truffle dishes . Serve at 16–18°C and allow the wine to fully develop in a carafe.
