Vintage Report
The 2022 vintage for Chile has received an 'NT' (Not yet sufficiently tested to rate) assessment from Robert Parker. This means that the wines from this particular vintage have not yet been sufficiently tasted to assign a definitive and general score.
Los Vascos wines combine Lafite tradition with Chile's unique terroir to create elegant wines that are exceptional for everyday use. Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite's vision to expand their estate brought them to South America in 1988, becoming the first French winemaking investment in modern Chile. Los Vascos is located in the Caneten Valley in Colchagua, a closed valley in Chile's central zone, approximately 40 kilometers from the sea. The valley offers a perfect microclimate for high-quality viticulture, with northern exposure to lands uncontaminated by airborne or waterborne pollutants. This gives this Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon its pristine purity.
The smell and taste of the Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon
The aroma is pure Cabernet Sauvignon with remarkable nuances of red and black fruit, such as plums, blackcurrants, and strawberries. There are also hints of light spice, a touch of laurel, and a refined touch of wood. The taste is fresh with a smooth attack. Swish this Cabernet Sauvignon around your mouth and you'll discover an elegant development of flavors with pure fruit and pleasant tannins, and a surprisingly long finish.Wood aging for the Cabernet Sauvignon from Los Vascos Lafite Rothschild
The wine is made using the traditional Bordeaux method. Grapes are placed in stainless steel tanks for fermentation at a controlled temperature. This is followed by 12 months of oak aging in the cellars of Barons de Rothschild Lafite Los Vascos. This wine is a feast from start to finish, we promise. A top-notch gourmet wine, this red Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with dishes such as lamb and beef with rich sauces, game and poultry, and various cheeses.Product details
