Buy or order Castelão wine

The Castelão grape is used for red wine. Castelão is the grape variety from Portugal. This variety is actually unique to this country. In Portugal, people are therefore proud of the Portuguese wines made with this grape. When most people think of wine from Portugal, they immediately think of Port. The Castelão grape is used by a limited number of winemakers. The Toucas winery immediately comes to mind, but also Bacalhoa and Casa Ermelinda. The most popular wine made with this Castelão is the Casa Ermelinda Flor de la Mar Tinto Red. This dry red wine, 'Flor de la Mar 2015 Reserva', comes from Casa Ermelinda Freitas, a family winery in the Península de Setúbal region of Portugal. But you might also consider Pegos Claros Reserva, a wine made out of pure love for Portuguese wine growing. Another popular wine is JP Azeitão Tinto. This delicious red wine comes from the Bacalhôa winery and is found on the Portuguese peninsula of Setúbal.
