This Lenotti Massimo Rosso showcases the best of Italy's winemakers: finesse, elegance, and a touch of everything. They also call this wine the "baby Amarone." It's a true showpiece, a wine with incredible depth, made from 50 percent Corvina, 20 percent Sangiovese, and 30 percent other special vintage grapes like Pelare and Rebo. These grapes give it aromas of black fruit, abundant oak, vanilla, leather, truffle, and cocoa.

Lenotti's exceptional wines are produced in northern Italy. The vineyards are located around Lake Garda, near the wine village of Bardolino. Founded in 1906, Lenotti has enjoyed an excellent reputation for local wines ever since. Innovation is a key element at the winery, and in 2005 they completely renovated and modernized the vinification process, barrel storage, and bottling facility. This allowed Giancarlo Lenotti (father of the family and oenologist) to use significantly lower amounts of sulfites in the bottling facility. The positive result is that the wines retain their original aromas right through to the glass.

What does Lenotti Massimo Rosso taste like?

Because quality is always paramount at Lenotti, the grapes are carefully harvested and selected. They then undergo a short drying process in boxes. The selected grapes are gently pressed. Fermentation then lasts six to eight days at a controlled temperature of around 25 degrees Celsius. During production, storage, and bottling, the winemaker focuses on the natural aromas, ensuring optimal preservation of the fruit from the grapes. The overwhelming aromas continue on the palate, as this Massimo Rosso is full-bodied and powerful! Beautiful, refined tannins thanks to its aging in oak barrels in the cellars of Cantine Lenotti.
