Vintage Report
The Veneto region received an excellent rating of 91 points in the Robert Parker Vintage Chart for the 2022 vintage. The wines are of high quality, although they may still be somewhat youthful at this early stage.
One of Tedeschi's newest wines is this Lucchine Valpolicella Classico. The grapes come from a 25-year-old vineyard in the heart of the Valpolicella region. Lucchine is the name of the vineyard that supplies the grapes. It is located in the plains at the foot of the Pedemonte hills in the heart of the historic Valpolicella Classica region. This vineyard, thanks to the unique winemaking process used with the grapes, produces a fresh and fruity Valpolicella Classico, ideal for enjoying with a meal.
The rich history of Tedeschi
Tedeschi has a long family tradition in winemaking dating back to 1630. The winery specializes in traditional winemaking techniques in the Valpolicella region and has played a pioneering role in the revival of ancient native vines, which offer the best interpretation of terroir. The acquisition of the Maternigo Estate in the Valpolicella DOC area has enabled the company to become completely self-sufficient in its fruit supply. The winery also practices a green environment by reducing its environmental impact through organic farming. The grapes for this fresh Valpolicella come from the eponymous vineyard, located at the foot of the Pedemonte hills in the heart of Valpolicella. This red wine is vinified together with Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes, as well as 10 percent other local red grape varieties. After destemming and pressing, alcoholic fermentation takes place for eight days at a controlled temperature, after which the wine is stabilized, clarified, and bottled in stainless steel tanks. It then ages for another two months. A beautiful young red wine from Veneto, which, with proper storage, can be kept for three to four years.Enjoy this Tedeschi Lucchine Valpolicella Classico
The old vines give this Lucchine its full and juicy flavor. The aroma boasts an overwhelming bouquet of cherries, berries, and light spices. The palate is soft and round, balanced with plenty of red fruit, including berries, cherries, strawberries, and raspberries. On the back of the palate, impressions of spices, lavender, and a hint of pepper. A truly superb wine, especially for this price point.Product details
