This white port, with a subtle and delicate character, releases floral and balanced aromas. It stands out for its freshness, which comes from the blend of various grape varieties. Códega, Fernão Pires, Malvasia, and Rabigato each contribute their own distinctive flavor to this Fine White Port.

Andresen's adventure

The Andresen Port House has been producing fine port wines since 1845. It all began with 14-year-old Jann Hinrich Andresen, who left his home in Germany for sunny Portugal. He immediately fell in love with the country and its port wines. His first destination was Porto, and there he remained ever since. He started working for a trading house, where he excelled with his honesty and business acumen. He then decided to establish his own trading house, which has borne his name ever since. It is one of the few port houses still owned by the same family. Port is produced in all shapes and sizes. The various indigenous grape varieties for this Fine White Port are grown in beautiful vineyards in the Douro region. The grapes are carefully and selectively harvested. This makes a significant difference in the final port. At the winery, the grapes are deliberately left undestemmed and macerated in stainless steel tanks for a full day. Once this is complete, fermentation follows, which lasts two days and is interrupted halfway through when wine alcohol is added. Finally, the wine is aged in old wooden barrels. These barrels impart no flavor but allow for natural aging. The different wines are later blended to create the final Fine White Port, which is on average three years old.

A balanced Fine White Port

Warm aromas of raisins, tropical fruit, and various nuts distinguish this White Port from other Port wines. A well-balanced Port with a sweet, silky finish. The flavor is beautifully balanced, offering both sweetness and tartness. An ideal glass of Port to pair with appetizers, ice cream, and fruit desserts.
