Vintage Report
The 2020 vintage in Roussillon received a score of 91 points from Robert Parker, indicating excellent quality. The wines from this year are characterized as still tannic and youthful, suggesting a potential for slow aging.
An authentic glass of red wine. Something Jean-Marc Lafage can be proud of. He is the current winemaker and owner of the incomparable Domaine Lafage. This company was founded in 1798. For over 200 years, it has proven itself in Roussillon, a vast wine region in southeastern France, located just a stone's throw from the Spanish border. It boasts an impressive 140 hectares of vineyards, each with its own distinct identity. One such vineyard is the Collioure vineyard, a hillside home to 60-year-old Grenache vines! These ancient vines produce high-quality grapes, which is reflected in the excellence of Lafage Arqueta Collioure.
The composition of Lafage Arqueta Collioure
This wine features a starring role for Grenache Noir, which makes up 70% of the wine. To make it even more distinctive, 15% Carignan is added for its ripe fruit, and 10% Syrah adds character. Finally, there's a small portion (5%) of Grenache Gris, a relatively unknown grape. This light pink grape lends Lafage Arqueta Collioure its elegant character.Lafage Arqueta Collioure is also an award winner
Lafage wines are internationally acclaimed, precisely for their excellent price-quality ratio. This is also true for Robert Parker, perhaps the world's most famous wine journalist. Almost all wines receive at least 90 points, an exceptionally high score for wines in this price range. The Lafage Arqueta Collioure receives a whopping 93 points! Incredible. We understand, because we also really like this Lafage red wine. The taste of Lafage Arqueta Collioure
A deep wine with many layers. You naturally smell a hint of fruit, with distinct notes of cassis and raspberry. The flavor of Lafage Arqueta Collioure is somewhat more concentrated. You can taste a hint of the oak aging, which this wine underwent for 12 months. The wine is lively yet refreshing. A subtle hint of sweetness makes Lafage Arqueta Collioure even more appealing. Enjoy this red wine with a rich stew or slightly spicy dishes. Truly the pride of Domaine Lafage and the pride of Côtes du Roussillon.Product details
