The Rioja 2018 vintage received an excellent score of 93 points from Robert Parker. These wines are described as early-maturing and are therefore currently excellent for consumption.

Perhaps the best-selling wine from Bodegas LAN. This winery was founded in 1972 in the heart of the Rioja region. It's an abbreviation of the three provinces that make up the Rioja region: La Rioja, Alvesa, and Navarra. Bodegas LAN is a winery that, especially in its early years, focused strongly on quality wines from this beautiful Spanish wine region. With the LAN Reserva, they have definitively established a foothold in the rest of Europe. A perfect glass of wine that we can't get enough of.

The composition of LAN Rioja Reserva

The Reserva designation is a legal designation. The requirements are strict: red wines must be aged for at least 36 months, at least 12 of which in oak. Bodegas LAN's vineyards are vast and expansive in the rugged Rioja region. This red wine is a true Spanish gem: three indigenous grape varieties contribute to the sublime LAN Rioja Reserva. Tempranillo naturally plays a role, but the moderate Garnacha and the distinctive Mazuelo also feature in this glass of Spanish wine.

The aroma immediately reveals the long aging. Unprecedented and intense. A red wine you'll want to linger in. Superb! Small red forest fruits like raspberries form the base, but the spiciness, thanks in part to the Tempranillo grape, also plays a prominent role in the aroma. The taste is sensational. Complexity reigns supreme with LAN Rioja Reserva. The fruit is clearly present, but pepper, vanilla, and cedarwood also enrich the wine enormously. Despite its power and fullness, the wine remains elegant. Never too heavy.
