In Italy, and particularly in Piedmont, we find Muscat blanc a petits grains under the name Moscato Bianco. This grape variety is used to make wines with a distinctive aroma and a delightfully delicate, sweet flavor. This one from Acquesi is no exception; it's powerful yet beautifully balanced.

The best quality wines from Acquesi

Although Piedmont quickly brings to mind the Barolo region, there are also small winegrowers producing excellent quality wine. The Acquesi cooperative was founded in 1952. They process grapes from over 500 different winegrowers. Quality is, of course, paramount, so the winegrowers operate under strict regulations. The wine cellars are located in Acqui Terme, which explains the cooperative's name. The vines for this wine are planted in the hills of Monferrato and Nice. Thanks to the altitude, the grapes remain wonderfully fresh. The soil structure and the fluctuations between day and night temperatures also greatly contribute to the quality of the wines. This ensures that the wines can age perfectly, resulting in full-bodied wines. The Moscato grapes are rigorously selected and carefully harvested. After harvest, the grapes are sorted again on the sorting table. After maceration, alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. Finally, the dessert wine is aged for another two to three months in stainless steel tanks. After a few months of patience, it's time to enjoy this refreshing wine.

What does the Acquesi Moscato d'Asti Casarito taste like?

It has a light straw-yellow color in the glass, with beautiful bubbles floating in the air. The aroma is elegant and fresh, with a characteristic grape note. The Moscato d'Asti Casarito has a subtle, slightly sweet flavor, and the grape character is beautifully pronounced. Ideal as an aperitif or with a dessert like apple pie or fresh fruit.
