Vintage Report
The 2023 vintage for the Southern Rhône has received an excellent rating of 96 points. This indicates an exceptional harvest year with very high-quality wines.
This red wine is a true Cotes du Rhone. An everyday wine to truly savor. The Grenache, Mourvedre, and Shiraz grapes are found in this classic bottle of wine. These grapes complement each other beautifully, revealing each other's unique qualities. A beautiful blend that exudes France and sparkles in the glass.
The magical castle of the Perrin family
The magical Château de Beaucastel and Perrin are linked in a single sentence. The château has existed since the early 17th century, but it wasn't until 1909 that it was owned by the Perrin family. They oversaw a massive transformation of the then hundred hectares. Now, more than a century later, the fifth generation is at the helm, managing 325 hectares of vineyards. They have purchased several plots in the southern Rhône. Today, they operate in the Côtes du Rhône Villages, Vinsobres, Cairanne, Rasteau, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, and even Beaumes-de-Venise and Tavel. Their philosophy is that you can make good wine by allowing the grapes to flourish in the best possible natural conditions. Nothing is left to chance.6 months of maturation for Cotes du Rhone Reserve
The various grapes are harvested entirely by hand, selected, destemmed, and then vinified separately. A portion is heated briefly and quickly to 80 degrees Celsius and immediately cooled back down to 20 degrees Celsius. Here, along with the remaining grapes, they undergo temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation for two weeks. The grapes are then pressed and transferred to stainless steel tanks and large wooden vats to undergo malolactic fermentation and mature. After aging for six months, the wine is bottled. This entire process is carried out as much as possible in accordance with organic and/or biodynamic regulations. The Cotes du Rhone reveals a deep ruby red in the glass. We immediately enjoy the delicious aromas of red and black berries and lightly dried herbs. The palate reveals very ripe red-black fruit and a hint of pepper. This is followed by a good finish with supple tannins.Product details
