Lifili Rosso Salento is a red wine from the Puglia region of Italy. It is made from the Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera di Lecce grape varieties. It is considered a classic representative of the Salento style. A fruity wine with an elegant, dry flavor.

The story of winery A6mani

The A6mani winery is run by three women, Elise Clerfeuille, Francesca, and Maria Cavallo, who share a passion for winemaking. Together, they focus on using local grape varieties, including Negroamaro, to produce expressive red wines. The vines are grown on clay and limestone soils, where they adapt to the dry and warm climate of the Apulia region. These unique growing conditions result in full-bodied, dry wines with distinctive flavors. This red blend wine is made from the Malvasia Nera, Negroamaro, and Sangiovese grape varieties. In Apulia, they enjoy optimal conditions. The vines are deeply rooted in the clay and limestone soil, which already contributes to their excellent characteristics. The grapes are selectively harvested and then taken directly to the winery. Here, they are selected and carefully separated. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. This process is concluded with several months of aging on the fine lees.

The Lifli Rosso Salento from A6mani in Puglia reveals an intense ruby red color in the glass. The nose reveals aromas of blueberries, mulberries, blackberries, morello cherries, and black cherries. Aging in stainless steel barrels adds further aromas, such as green peppers and Mediterranean herbs. This Italian wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste, achieved through minimal residual sugar. This is a true quality wine that clearly distinguishes itself. The fine balance in the flavor makes this dry wine naturally enchanting. The texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully silky, and the finish convinces with a remarkable lingering, paired with mineral notes from the soil, which is dominated by limestone and clay.
