With extensive experience at Roeno, Roberta, Cristina, and Giuseppe Fugatti decided in 2013 to combine their passion for wine and establish the Von Blumen winery. Inspired by the northern Alto Adige region, in addition to their work at Roeno, they enthusiastically embraced this new project. Von Blumen's vineyards are specifically located between 480 and 600 meters of altitude, where the grapes are nurtured by the region's unique microclimate. With dedication and craftsmanship, Roberta, Cristina, and Giuseppe strive to produce wines of exceptional quality that reflect the essence of the land and its terroir. In the picturesque area around Pochi di Salorno, where the vineyards thrive at an average altitude of 511 meters, the Pinot Bianco grapes are hand-harvested with the utmost care. At the winery, the grapes undergo controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, where temperatures are closely monitored. This ensures that the wine retains its freshness and vibrant character. After fermentation, Von Blumen 511 Weissburgunder Pinot Bianco is aged "sur lie," or on the lees, for another six months. This aging technique contributes to the wine's rich creaminess and complexity, making every sip a delightful experience.
