Founded in 1923, it focuses primarily on producing high-quality wine using indigenous grape varieties, including Lagrein, Vernatsch, and Gewürztraminer. The company owns vineyards in several Alto Adige subregions, including Eppan, Cornaiano, and Montagna. Girlan is committed to sustainability and has implemented several projects to reduce the environmental impact of its production activities. The winery's wines have won numerous awards and are known as one of the region's leading producers. For the Girlan Pinot Grigio, grapes grown on the Girlan hills are carefully selected. The area is well-ventilated and the soil is rich in minerals, giving the grapes unique characteristics. During harvest, the grapes are hand-picked and placed in small containers to prevent damage. After harvest, the grapes undergo a gentle pressing, and the must is clarified through natural settling.
