The 2023 vintage in Northern Italy produced white wines of excellent quality with a score of 89. The wines are vibrant and fruity and are very approachable to drink early in their development.

This latest wine from the Morando series is a real treat, made entirely from Pinot Grigio grapes. It's already a hit, with such a wonderfully pleasant aroma. The grapes are sourced from the northern Veneto region. Here, they grow on the finest slopes, resulting in a top-quality wine at an attractive price.

Specialist in Veneto wines

The quintessential Italian version of Pinot Gris is Pinot Grigio. It's a successful grape that produces exceptionally delicious wines. The secret lies in the slightly fruity character this grape variety brings. Pinot Gris can sometimes be somewhat heavy and rich, the opposite of this grape variety. Campagnola knows how to handle these characteristics like no other. The Campagnola winery was founded in 1907 in the Valpolicella valley. But it has since evolved into a specialist in Veneto wines. Only the very best grapes are selected for this bottle of Pinot Grigio. After hand-harvesting, a short maceration of the skins takes place. The juice then undergoes alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Finally, this young Italian wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for another three to five months. To emphasize the fruity character, a small amount of residual sugar remains, creating a deliciously mild wine.

What does the Morando Pinot Grigio taste like?

This light, straw-yellow Pinot Grigio has very pleasant aromas. As soon as we pour the wine, we're surprised by aromas of pear and banana, pleasantly exotic, with a hint of elderflower. We also detected lime and peach. Deliciously fruity. On the palate, this Morando Pinot Grigio has a fresh and soft attack, lovely nuances of white fruit, lime zest, and some fresh white flowers.
