Vintage Report
The 2021 vintage for white wines from Northern Italy is rated as excellent with a score of 94 points. The wines are of high quality and currently perfect for drinking.
This Vin Blanc Premisse is a fruity and fresh wine, made from white grapes grown in the Valle d'Aosta Valley. It's a challenging place to produce wine due to the altitude and diverse climates. Yields are low because the focus is always on quality, which isn't standard in this region. Rosset Terroir has successfully blended the finest white grapes to create this white gem.
The beginning of the Rosset Terroir winery
Rosset Terroir was founded in 2001 when the Rosset family began cultivating vines on their land in Senin, Saint-Christophe. They started with approximately three hectares of land and planted Chardonnay. Syrah and the local Cornalin grape soon followed. It was time to grow, and so Petit Rouge was also planted. This indigenous grape variety had been carefully selected by winemaker Matteo Moretto. It boded well for the future. A wide range of grape varieties is planted in the Aosta Valley, where the Rosset vineyards are located. This white blend, composed of Chardonnay, Muscat, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, and Sauvignon Blanc, was also created through experimentation. The grapes are carefully harvested at peak ripeness. After harvesting, they are taken almost immediately to the winery to preserve their freshness. A rigorous selection process follows, because for Moretto, only the best is good enough. Vinification takes place entirely in stainless steel vats, resulting in a wine with a very pleasant aroma and abundant freshness. The aroma and taste of Rosset Terroir Vin Blanc Premisse
The Vin Blanc Premisse appears straw-yellow in the glass. Its aroma is pleasant, with fruity aromas and floral notes. It stands out from other white blends. The palate is beautifully balanced, with fruity notes combined with a pleasant acidity. This wine pairs perfectly with fish dishes or a cheese board.Product details
