The 2022 vintage in Veneto is rated as excellent with a score of 91 points. The wines are currently still youthful, meaning they need some more time to fully mature or will continue to develop.

This beautiful winery, Torre del Falasco, is part of Cantina Valpantena, which has been producing the finest wines in the Veneto wine region since 1958. The name comes from the bandit Falasco, who rampaged through the valley around 1600 and hid in the hamlet of Stallavena. History is very important to the Torre del Falasco winery; with these wines, they reflect their long winemaking history and allow us to enjoy the beauty of the region. All wines are matured with the utmost care, starting in the old vineyards of Torre del Falasco. Over the years, the winery has grown considerably and now boasts 750 hectares of vineyards, divided into several plots. In recent years, Torre del Falasco has invested heavily, and today, it houses a modern winery that produces modern wines while preserving old traditions.

Valley of the Gods

The name of Cantina Valpantena comes from the Greek language, where Valpanta means "Valley of the Gods." It has since come to mean "Valley of all wines." In the heart of this valley, northeast of Verona, operates Cantina Valpantena Verona, one of the area's leading wine producers. For this red Bardolino, they use Corvina and Rondinella grapes grown on very old vines. These thrive in the warm climate, but the bunches also receive plenty of coolness from the wind that blows across the mountaintops and through the vineyards.

What an intense red wine, and that's already apparent upon pouring. A beautiful ruby-red color with a thick structure reveals itself. It flows from the glass, offering hints of ripe black fruit, blueberries, and a touch of violet. On the palate, the palate is pampered by pure softness, complemented by numerous fruity nuances of cherries, berries, and blackberries. The finish is pure softness at its finest, and the accompanying fruitiness rounds it all off.
