From vineyard to bottle

The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

The main base for this white wine from Clobanel is the white Grenache grape, which thrives in the warm "Sud de France" region. However, the Clobanel winemaker also uses white grapes like Sauvignon Blanc and Vermentino to give it a touch more depth and richness. This has been a resounding success, and this top-quality wine is often served as a house wine in top restaurants. Clobanel's beautiful vineyards are nestled in a stunning valley in the south of France. Summer temperatures soar, giving the ancient vines deep roots to absorb moisture. This is crucial for providing the grapes with everything they need. But leave that to the winemaker, who knows the wine region like the back of their hand.

All three grape varieties are harvested separately. At ideal ripeness, they are taken to the press where they are pressed very gently and carefully. The juice is truly of outstanding quality and is known throughout the region as unique. Once all three grape varieties are ready, the blend is determined, a crucial period for Clobanel's winemaker. After all, he has to deliver a top-notch product every year—leave that to him.

As soon as the bottle is opened, the fruit bursts forth, revealing immediate aromas of pear and citrus. But as you pour and swirl this white wine in the glass, even more hidden aromas emerge: orange blossom, a hint of fennel, and mint leaves. The beautiful light and fresh style continues on the palate, which is enlivened with nuances of grapefruit, lime, mint, and fresh passion fruit. The finish leaves a refreshing aftertaste with a pleasant body that is not too heavy.
