The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

Liquid happiness. That's the best way to describe Salentein Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc. We've been fans of Salentein wines for years. And that's quite remarkable, considering the winery isn't even thirty years old. It wasn't until 1992 that Dutch entrepreneur Mijndert Pon founded Bodega Salentein. He commissioned the construction of a magnificent winery in Valle de Uco, a wine region near Mendoza. The wine cellar is particularly noteworthy. Its design is reminiscent of an amphitheater.

Bodega Salentein is internationally acclaimed and has received awards. Many of its wines have won competitions and medals. Dutch wine journalist Harold Hamersma, among others, is a fan of several Salentein wines. For example, he awarded this Salentein Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc an impressive 8.5. International wine guru Robert Parker also awarded Salentein Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc a remarkable 90 points. An incredible achievement. Something we, the Dutch, can be a little proud of, given Bodega Salentein's Dutch roots. Try this white wine now and experience it for yourself.

The Sauvignon Blanc grapes grow on the San Pablo vineyard, the most beautiful part of Bodega Salentein's entire estate. San Pablo is situated at a much higher altitude, which benefits the quality of the grapes for Salentein Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc. And you can detect this in everything, both the aroma and the taste. You smell citrus and grapefruit, as well as fresh green herbs. Refreshing but with moderate acidity is the best way to describe Salentein Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc. The palate is broad and beautiful. Granny Smith, grapefruit, and fresh lime peel. Take another sip and savor it expertly. Flint, passion fruit, and fresh mint present themselves in the flavor palette of Salentein Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc.
