Vintage Report
South Australia's 2021 vintage is rated as excellent with a score of 93, producing wines that are approachable early. The season offered ideal conditions for high-quality fruit in regions such as Barossa and McLaren Vale.
Is it a Châteauneuf wine? Well, a little bit, because this RedHeads Princess of Thieves is also made with Mourvèdre, Grenache, and Shiraz grapes. A beautiful, striking glass with a warm heart—that's how we can describe this red wine from RedHeads. Winemaker Dan spent a long time searching for the right fruit to make this wine, but it proved more challenging than expected. Fortunately, he's a perseverant man and found his long-cherished dream in Adrian Hoffmann and John Kalleske. Adrian Hoffmann is the source of the Mourvèdre and Grenache grapes. Old vines, big flavor—exactly what they were looking for at RedHeads! The other part, the Shiraz, comes from longtime partner in crime John Kalleske in Koonunga, who manages to obtain beautiful bunches year after year. The Princess of Thieves was born.
A wine that steals your heart
This Princess of Thieves tells the story of a fearless young woman who, at night, unsuspectingly, sets out in search of a ruby-red treasure of improbable beauty. And that's precisely what this exceptional wine does. This RedHeads Princess of Thieves steals everyone's heart with her seductive charms. After harvest, the grapes are fermented in open tanks, with the pulp regularly pumped over. The wine then undergoes extensive maceration on the skins. Finally, the wine matures for twelve months in oak barrels, 75 percent French oak and 25 percent American oak. The result is absolutely stunning!Enjoy the seductive charms of Princess of Thieves
This red wine sparkles in the glass, revealing a deep red color with purple hues. It offers aromas of plums and sour cherries with a hint of cedar. The full, silky tannins on the palate support the juicy red fruits and lingering sweet oak notes that follow.Product details
