The vineyards of LAN
Culmen Reserva Rioja Bodegas LAN is an excellent blend of two indigenous grape varieties. Tempranillo (88%) and Graciano (12%) form a perfect marriage in this red wine from Bodegas LAN. The grapes are grown in the El Rincon vineyard, a vineyard also used for LAN a Mano. This vineyard is only 5.34 hectares in size, making yields extremely limited. Furthermore, Culmen Reserva Rioja Bodegas LAN is only produced in exceptionally good vintages. This means you can enjoy this Bodegas LAN hit twice as much.Craftsmanship of the cellar master
It all begins with the harvest, which is done manually. The grapes are collected in small crates to ensure a double check, as only the very best grapes from the El Rincon vineyard are considered for this wine. After the grapes have survived the sorting table, they move on to the next phase: vinification. Then begins the most important process: aging. This is impressive, to say the least. First, the juice is aged for 26 months in new French oak. The new oak releases a tremendous amount of flavor, lasting for over two years! After aging, the wine is bottled. Some wines stay with you forever. Culmen Reserva Rioja Bodegas LAN is one of those wines. When we first tasted it, we were speechless. The nose is complex yet elegant. Ripe red fruit, along with blueberries, creates the base. Smell again, and you'll notice hints of cassis and cherry. A tingling aroma reveals the spicy character of this Rioja wine. Nutmeg and cinnamon define this glass. The palate is sublime, truly perfect. Refined fruit combined with flowers creates a beautiful flavor on the palate. Violets and cassis are a perfect match. Herbs and spices like cinnamon and nutmeg are also clearly discernible on the palate. Powerful on the finish, opulent and sultry.
