Marques de Caceres is a winery that uses state-of-the-art winemaking techniques. They are unparalleled in their ability to offer excellent quality year after year.
A young series of quality wines
The Excellens series is still a relatively young series but has already enjoyed great success. Therefore, it is crucial that the quality of these wines remains consistent. This delicious red wine is made entirely from Tempranillo grapes, harvested when the tannins were perfectly ripe. Marques de Cáceres wanted to produce an exceptionally good yet accessible red wine. And he succeeded! A wine you will never forget. The grapes for this red wine come from vines that are between 20 and 35 years old, which gives them a rich terroir. This is crucial for this exceptional red wine. The vines are planted between four and six hundred meters in altitude, creating a good diversity in the grapes. After harvest, the wine is fermented in stainless steel with long skin contact of about 25 days to give the wine color, strength, and tannin. The color is deep dark red with a purple rim. The aroma and taste... well, sit down and enjoy! Delicious Rioja aromas of herbs, black fruit, vanilla, oak, prunes, and chocolate. The palate is wonderfully full and powerful. Rounded nuances of black fruit like blackberry and cherry are complemented by spices and vanilla.
