Graham's 40-Year-Old Tawny—we really had to sit down for this gem. A beautiful port of outstanding quality. A 40-year-old port whose defining characteristics are its incredible complexity and smoothness. The color is bright brown with a light red rim. The nose is incredibly complex with aromas of nuts, raisins, caramel, and chocolate. The taste, well, where do we begin? The balance between all the flavors is truly stunning. An ultimate indulgence, we might say. Beautiful nuances of dried fruit subtly blend with hints of raisins, nuts, and a touch of dark chocolate. The finish is long, smooth, and phenomenal! After traditional vinification, this 40-year-old port is matured in large 534-liter wooden barrels to give this top-notch port the true character of an aged tawny.

The aroma and taste of Graham's 40 year old port

This 40-year-old gem comes from W&J Graham's. Graham's is widely known as a producer of exceptionally high-quality port wines. The grapes for this port are grown on the terraces of the Douro Valley in mineral-rich soil. This soil, combined with the warm and dry climate, results in an unparalleled quality of port! Graham's has been run by the Symington family for many generations. This magnificent port house owns its own vineyards in the Douro region but also sources high-quality fruit from local farmers. Some of these have been supplying the Symington family for three generations. Graham's produces port exclusively from the finest grapes, which are aged in authentic oak barrels and carefully supervised by experienced and passionate winemakers. Graham's excels in producing the finest Vintage Port and aged Tawny Port. In addition, Graham's is also very good at making everyday port, naturally with the high quality we expect from Graham's.
