A complex wine from the Luberon region made from Roussanne and Vermentino grapes. These grapes benefit from the excellent climate of the south of France and are expertly vinified thanks to the expertise of Château Val Joanis. The result is an aromatic wine with a refreshing and creamy character.

Characteristic Val Joanis wines

The grapes come from various vineyards in the mountainous Luberon region. Here, Val Joanis produces characteristic wines with a recognizable Rhône style. They use a variety of grape varieties, demonstrating the winery's versatility. They own 100 hectares of vineyards, perfectly situated to enjoy warm days and cool nights. Although the area is only 20 kilometers from Aix-de-Provence, it belongs to the Rhône region. But Val Joanis draws inspiration from both regions, and this is certainly reflected in their wines. Made from a blend of Roussanne and Vermentino grapes. At peak ripeness, these grapes are carefully harvested and brought to the winery. Before pressing, the grapes are macerated to further develop their flavors. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Finally, the wine is aged on the lees for 2 to 4 months. This gives the wine a slightly softer mouthfeel and adds the necessary complexity.

What does the Chateau Val Joanis Luberon White taste like?

Upon opening the bottle, aromas of lime, pear, and yellow fruit emerge. A wonderfully refreshing wine with a round and creamy flavor. It also has a slightly crisp character on the palate. The fruity notes blend beautifully with herbs and a hint of chamomile. A long, pleasant finish completes this tasting experience.
