What a magnificent wine from the island of Sardinia! That's where the Vermentino grapes are grown for this wine. But the beginnings of the Pirovano winery actually began in 1850. That was the year Amadio Pirovano gave up his job as a shoemaker to open a restaurant with his sons. He created the most beautiful dishes and sold the finest local wines, for his love of Italian wine was immense. Out of this passion, the Pirovano winery was founded in 1910, and it has since become a major success. Initially, Pirovano only produced wines from the heel of the boot, but later he also saw the beauty of other regions, including Sardinia.

The white wine of Sardinia

In Sardinia, Vermentino di Sardegna grapes are grown for this beautiful white wine. The vineyards, called Nuraghe Supramonte, are located close to the sea, providing the grapes with plenty of coolness. This allows the Pirovano winery to produce a superb white wine from Vermentino di Sardegna. The constant sunshine on the vineyards contributes to the ripeness of the bunches, and this, combined with the ancient soil structure, is a perfect combination for a top-notch wine. Harvest begins early in the morning when the grapes have reached full ripeness. Upon arrival at Pirovano, the grapes are thoroughly inspected. This ensures the purity of this white Vermentino di Sardegna.

The palate is wonderfully refreshing, full of fresh white and citrus fruit, as well as hints of green peppers and bell pepper.
