Grown at an altitude of 690 meters, the grapes undergo a carefully controlled vinification that involves cold maceration and fermentation at gradually increasing temperatures to maximize the fruit’s potential. The wine is then aged for twelve months in French oak barrels followed by a further twelve months in bottle, developing the rich structure and complexity characteristic of the finest expressions of this varietal. The meticulous attention to detail at every step of the process reflects Alpha Estate’s philosophy of producing world-class wines that express the unique terroir of their region.
