The Bodegas De Muller winery was founded in 1851 by Don Augusto de Muller y Ruinart de Brimont, a descendant of the renowned Champagne family from Reims. Winemaking is therefore in their blood, and we taste that in this sweet wine, the De Muller Moscatel Anejo. The winery was founded in Tarragona, where it is also located near the port. The beautiful cellar is full of aged sweet wines, because aging in the cellars gives this De Muller Moscatel Anejo its unique, powerful aroma and flavor. The wines are still made today using the solera system, which is also used for the finest sherries. By blending different vintages and aging them for extended periods in oak barrels, a unique piece of craftsmanship is created.

How special! The wine region for this De Muller Moscatel Anejo is located in the northwestern tip of Spain, in the province of Tarragona. The climate here is perfect for the Moscatel grape. Plenty of sunshine and extreme dryness give the bunches time to fully ripen. The fresh breeze from the sea provides the perfect cooling during the harvest and contributes significantly to this wonderfully sweet wine.

Full and very powerful this De Muller Moscatel Anejo

A long aging in oak barrels has created a beautiful dessert wine. And the celebration begins immediately upon pouring, revealing a beautiful amber color with an orange sheen. It flows from the glass, offering notes of apricots, dried figs, raisins, and, of course, a touch of vanilla and honey. The palate boasts a wonderfully thick structure with plenty of depth. Ripe flavors of sweet yellow fruit, interspersed with plums and apricots. The thick structure clings to the palate, imparting hints of spice and fig notes. The light toasted aroma of the oak barrel makes this De Muller Moscatel Anejo perfect. Serve it slightly chilled, for best results.
