When Samuele Sebastiani founded his winery in 1904, wine production in Sonoma was still in its infancy. Thanks to Sebastiani, it received a boost in this breathtaking region. In the early years, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were particularly successful, primarily due to the perfect microclimate. However, Sebastiani wanted to innovate further. He was the first to plant Cabernet Sauvignon in this magnificent region. Now, a century later, Cabernet Sauvignon remains among the finest in Sonoma. Don't believe it? After the unique vinification process, the juice is aged in oak. Sebastiani Cabernet Sauvignon North Coast is aged for ten months in a blend of new and used American oak. Finally, the wine is blended under the supervision of the winemaker; after all, the wine must be perfect! Well, that's more than achieved in the aroma and flavor. The aroma is rich. You'll discover notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, and cassis. Complex aromas, such as coconut and vanilla, emerge as soon as the wine opens up.
