Vintage Report
De vintage 2025 is een toekomstige jaargang voor Mendoza, Argentinië. Er is nog geen beoordeling beschikbaar, aangezien de druiven nog niet zijn geoogst en de wijn nog niet is geproduceerd.
The grapes for this Phebus Malbec come from Argentina's Mendoza region, where the vines have an average age of fifteen years. The grapes are harvested by hand from March 11th to 22nd, using 20-kilo crates to avoid damaging the grapes. Dedication and a personal touch are essential elements of the quality Phebus stands for.
The pioneer of Argentine wine
Hervé J. Fabre arrived in Argentina in the early 1990s, seeking opportunities to invest in vineyards. Impressed by the potential and quality of the Malbec grape, he decided to build his first winery in 1992: Fabre Montmayou. Because of the impression the Malbec grape had made on him, he became one of the first pioneers of Argentine wine made from a single grape variety. Phebus Winery combines modern winemaking methods, the Mendoza terroir, and Bordeaux's winemaking savoir-faire. This gives each wine a unique personality. Hervé Fabre's passion and expertise enable him to create exceptional wines that have won international awards and are enjoyed in more than twenty countries. The grapes for Phebus wines are sourced from the best regions in Mendoza and Patagonia (Alto Valle de Río Negro). These regions offer ideal conditions for Malbec and other grape varieties. These regions represent the best of the Argentine terroir. The soils are rich in loam with stony substrata. The finest grapes are selected by hand. Before fermentation, the grapes are macerated for five days at a temperature of eight degrees Celsius. The must is then fermented at a controlled temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. The wine is pumped over three times a day.A full and explosive wine from Phebus
The ruby-red wine has beautiful purple hues. This Malbec has a nose rich in dark fruit, with hints of licorice. The palate is full and explosive, with distinct spiciness and dark fruit. It's the perfect accompaniment to roast lamb, grilled steak, game, and vegetable risotto.Micro-terroir
