The 2016 vintage in Castilla y León received an excellent rating of 92 points. The wines from this vintage are of high quality and have excellent aging potential thanks to their tannic structure.

A classic from the Principe de Viana estate. This winery is the driving force behind this successful red wine from Spain. Principe de Viana was only founded in 1983, quite late in a wine country where some wineries have been around for centuries. However, they haven't been sitting idle in forty years. Although Principe de Viana's base is Navarra, the northern Spanish province, it now also has vineyards in other renowned Spanish wine regions.

The vineyards of Clunia Tempranillo

This red wine originates about a two-hour drive from the original winery. The magnificent vineyards for Clunia Tempranillo are located in Castilla y León, in the province of Burgos. At an altitude of no less than 1,000 meters above sea level, you'll find magnificent vines laden with Tempranillo grapes.
