This Ramon Bilbao Rosé has a bright, light salmon pink color. Unique for a Spanish rosé, but that's not all that makes it unique. Ramón Bilbao Rosado won the gold medal at the Mondial du Rose. And that's unique for a Spanish rosé, as no one has ever achieved that before! The Spanish winery Ramón Bilbao has a long history dating back to the beginning of the last century. For years, they have been working to produce the highest possible quality wines. The wine is produced using modern methods while respecting ancient Spanish traditions. The Bodega has wine estates in the best locations in the Rioja region, where the warm winds from the dry Sierra de Cantabria collide with the cooler Mediterranean breeze. This allows the grapes to ripen perfectly and retain sufficient freshness.

This Bilbao Rosado is made from 100% Garnacha grapes. The grapes come from old vines located at high altitude in Tudelilla. These same vines are also used for Ramón Bilbao's luxurious red Rioja wines. This beautiful, light salmon-pink rosé wine is made using the saignée method, shortening the fermentation process with grape skins to achieve its light, pale color.

Their Ramón Bilbao Rosado, however, is made from 100% Garnacha grapes. It's a light, delicately dry rosé with a pale salmon pink color and aromas of freshly picked flowers and red fruit like cherry and raspberry. Its fresh flavor has notes of cherry and lemon and a pleasantly light spiciness. The Ramón Bilbao Rosado is a wonderfully fresh and light summer rosé perfect for the patio or any relaxing moment of the day, and pairs perfectly with summer dishes like asparagus and salads, and with carpaccio and risotto. We think this gold medal is certainly well-deserved, with a beautiful aroma of fresh red fruit and lemon, freshly picked white flowers, and cherries. The Ramón Bilbao Rosé is fresh on the palate, with a silky, long finish and hints of sour cherry. Subtle and elegant.
