The name "Torre de Vejezate" comes from a watchtower that stood centuries ago in the heart of Spain. It stood on the road between Ciudad Real and Albacete, a popular route for traders. From this Torre de Vejezate, taxes were levied on various goods that passed through. Today, this tower is especially popular with tourists and has inspired the Bodegas Crisve winery to start producing Torre de Vejezate wines. The Verdejo grape originated in the Rueda, a region near Ribera del Duero. This popular grape is now found throughout Spain, including in the vineyards of Bodegas Crisve, located in the heart of La Mancha. This scorching wine region is known for its friendly and accessible wines; Torre de Vejezate Verdejo certainly delivers.
