A unique and beautiful 20-year-old Port from the unique Portuguese port house Andresen. A complex aroma and a soft, full flavor make this Port a true delight. The blend consists of the following grape varieties: Bastardo, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Franca. Andresen's winemakers know exactly what these grapes need to ripen optimally and express their finest aromas and flavors.

Extensive vinification process for 20 Years Old Tawny Port

The Andresen family business has been producing exceptional Port wines since 1845. The company has been family-run ever since, a unique achievement in Portugal. They produce excellent Port in all shapes and sizes. They specialize primarily in Tawny Port, where oak aging is the most important aspect of the vinification process. Their cellar is also remarkable, where the family maintains a large stock of very old Ports. They are known worldwide for their excellent quality, which they offer at attractive prices. Andresen owns 40 hectares of vineyards in the Douro region. Here, the various grape varieties for the 20-Year-Old Tawny Port are planted. The grapes are carefully and selectively harvested. This makes all the difference in the final port. In the winery, the grapes are gently crushed by foot. The grapes are deliberately left undestemmed and macerated in stainless steel tanks for 24 hours. Once this is complete, fermentation follows, which lasts two days and is interrupted halfway through when wine alcohol is added. Until bottling, the wine is aged in 600-liter old wooden barrels. This process does not impart any woody flavors, but allows the aging process to unfold naturally. The final blend, consisting of various wines, has an average age of 20 years.

The finest Port wines from Andresen

The first thing you notice is the amber-brown color in the glass. This 20-year-old port clearly displays its unique character. The aromas are caramel, walnut, and honey, with a welcome freshness thanks to the scent of orange peel. The flavor is beautifully balanced with both fruit and oak notes. A port you'll thoroughly enjoy, no matter what.
