Almost a century later, this wine still has a feminine touch, and you can taste it. A vibrant and fresh white wine made with great refinement. The beautiful floral label beautifully captures the beauty of this white wine. The artist intended the flowers to convey a few things: purity, bloom, refinement, and dazzling beauty. The old vineyard of Blanco Laseca Rueda Verdejo
The old vineyard, some 60 to 70 years old, is currently producing a top harvest. The Verdejo grapes grow in the beautiful Rueda wine region, where the climate is perfect. The warm summer days allow the bunches to ripen perfectly, while the mountain wind blows through the vineyards, providing just the right amount of cooling. This helps the bunches retain their freshness and mineral content. The strong soil structure provides the bunches with minerals and lime, which contributes to the vibrancy of this white wine. Once the bunches have reached full ripeness, they are harvested at night to prevent damage and bruising. The Verdejo bunches also retain their freshness and are sorted by mostly women at the winery. Only the best are pressed, resulting in exceptionally pure juice.
The best wine from Rueda Verdejo
As soon as we open this beautiful bottle, we immediately smell a wealth of fresh flowers: red roses, white hyacinths, and of course, a generous dose of citrus fruit. In the glass, it emanates a beautiful light yellow with a green shimmer. It oozes fragrance, bursting with citrus fruit, a touch of mango, freshly mown grass, and of course, grapefruit. What a breath of fresh air, and at this price! But this Blanco Laseca Rueda Verdejo continues to amaze us. On the palate, it initially reveals light citrus fruit, followed by a touch of green herbs and grapefruit. On the cheeks and back of the tongue, apricots and gooseberries blend with a touch of tropical fruit. A lovely, fresh finish makes this truly one of the finest Verdejo wines from Rueda!
