Just a stone's throw from the capital Lisbon, you'll find the small village of Aguas de Moura. Casa Ermelinda Freitas winery has been located here since 1920. For over 100 years, they have been producing phenomenal wines. It was founded by Deonilde Freitas. When her great-granddaughter inherited the company, it had only 60 hectares of vineyards, growing the uninspiring Castelao and Fernao grapes. She managed to expand the acreage to 440 hectares and plant a variety of grape varieties, including the Portuguese Touriga Nacional.
