What an incredibly beautiful wine this Cascina Ghercina Piemonte Chardonnay is, especially for this price, truly remarkable! Cascina Ghercina was founded in 1871, and throughout the generations, a clear mission has been maintained: only their own production and quality are paramount. In 2002, the family acquired eight additional hectares of vineyards, situated on southwestern slopes in the heart of the Barolo region. These are 360 meters above sea level, and the Ghercina River flows between the vineyards, providing an exclusive microclimate. They also built a 5,000-square-meter cellar, partially underground, increasing the storage capacity to over 15,000 hectoliters. The estate also has vineyards in the Langhe, Alba, Roero, Asti, Monferrato, and Gavi.

This well-known grape is thriving worldwide. The Langhe hills, which are over 250 meters high, proved perfect for the Chardonnay grape. The winery was founded to create a selection of wines and dedicate it to wine lovers passionate about Piedmontese wines. They have inherited a wealth of knowledge from their fathers and grandfathers, and they combine this knowledge with the technologies offered by modernity.

Full and very powerful this Cascina Ghercina Piemonte Chardonnay

The grapes are gently pressed and then fermented under controlled temperatures. This is followed by six months of aging "sur lie" (on the lees). This is where this Cascina Ghercina Piemonte Chardonnay develops its full, creamy flavor and aroma! A robust yet elegant wine. Aromas of pear, apricot, and banana with a slight hint of spice. A lovely, refreshing finish.
