It all begins in the old vineyard located in Puglia, southern Italy. There, the ancient vines grow in a perfect climate for Chardonnay. With plenty of sunshine, the grapes ripen vigorously and acquire all the beautiful influences of the Italian countryside. Because the vineyard is close to the ocean, the grapes benefit from a very cool climate. This coolness gives the Chardonnay grapes a calm growing season and contributes to the fresh style of this white wine. The Pasqua family has invested heavily in the vineyards in recent years, and you can taste that in the beautifully elegant style of the wines.

The harvest of the Chardonnay grapes

This white wine is made according to the guidelines of the Indicazione Geografica Tipica, or IGT. The Chardonnay grapes are harvested with the utmost passion at their ideal ripeness. Pasqua's winemaker begins the harvest early in the morning, bringing the grapes in quickly and carefully. Upon arrival at Pasqua, the Chardonnay grapes are sorted on sorting tables, and the unusable bunches are removed. This way, only the finest bunches are obtained in this white wine, a fact that is clearly evident in the aroma and flavor. But before this, the Chardonnay grapes are gently pressed, and the skins are aged for six hours. This gives Pasqua's white wine greater depth and richness in both aroma and flavor.

This Pasqua Chardonnay, from the Puglia wine region of Italy, is truly delicious. The aroma offers hints of tropical fruit, a touch of vanilla, and a hint of citrus and passion fruit. The palate has a wonderfully thick structure and a rounded creaminess. The beautiful flavors of a true Italian Chardonnay: tropical fruit, yellow cream, and notes of citrus and lime. The finish is full and long.
