Founded in 1948, Torrevento has built a strong reputation over the years. Located in sunny Puglia, the winery benefits from the region's rich terroir and favorable conditions. Torrevento manages over 450 hectares of vineyards, spanning Puglia's diverse microclimates and soil types. This allows them to cultivate a wide range of grape varieties, including native varieties such as Primitivo, Nero di Troia, and Bombino Nero, as well as international varieties like Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery is committed to sustainable agricultural practices and combines traditional techniques with modern innovations to produce wines of outstanding quality. The grapes come from vineyards on the Murga Plateau, at an altitude of 50 to 450 meters above sea level. The vines are deeply rooted in clayey, limestone soils. The grapes are allowed to dry out on the vine, contributing to the wine's distinctive character. This drying out intensifies the flavor and adds complexity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wooden barrels. The stainless steel tanks impart freshness and clarity, while the wooden barrels contribute to the complex aromas and soft tannins.
