Characteristic grapes for Meran Graf Sauvignon Blanc
Meran is a renowned winery located in the Merano region, in the province of South Tyrol, in northern Italy. Founded in 1952, the winery has become a major player in South Tyrol's wine production. Meran Graf Sauvignon Blanc originates from the Cermes, Lagundo, Marlengo, and Tirolo growing areas, situated at altitudes between 450 and 550 meters. The grapes enjoy the sun, and thanks to the unique soil conditions, they develop distinctive grapes. The vinification process for Meran Graf Sauvignon Blanc begins with a 12-hour cold maceration, allowing the grapes to reveal their aromatic potential. The wine then undergoes temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks, where the fermentation processes are closely monitored. After this initial fermentation stage, the wine is carefully transferred to steel tanks and large wooden barrels, where it ages for five months on its fine lees. This aging period contributes to the development of complex aromas and gives the wine beautiful texture and structure. The fruity character of Meran Graf Sauvignon Blanc
Meran Graf Sauvignon Blanc presents itself in the glass with an enchanting greenish-yellow color, immediately reflecting the wine's freshness and vibrancy. The nose reveals enticing aromas of vanilla, spice, and berries. On the palate, the wine is full and powerful, beautifully unfolding its rich flavors. The fresh fruit acidity creates an invigorating sensation and gives the wine a lively character. It finishes with a long, lingering aftertaste. Perfect with light dishes such as salads and seafood, or simply as an aperitif.Product details
