The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

A full-bodied wine! A success! A beautiful glass. We have nothing but superlatives for the Farina Lugana, one of the flagship wines of this Northern Italian winery. It demonstrates that Farina is a creative jack-of-all-trades. A jack of all trades. This is also thanks to the craftsmanship that has been thriving within the Farina family for three generations. Lugana is the icing on the cake. A must-have for lovers of white wines from Northern Italy.

Lugana is a wine from the province of Brescia, south of Lake Garda. Since 1998, Lugana has also held a DOC designation. This is a classification under Italian wine law. Only wines that meet certain requirements receive this designation. Farina Lugana is made entirely from Trebbiano grapes, an indigenous grape variety that has achieved various successes in the past, but is best known for its use in Lugana. The Farina vineyards for this white wine are very small and located between Verona and Brescia, in the heart of Lugana. This is the only way to achieve the high quality for which Farina is renowned.

Farina Lugana is one of our best-selling Lugana wines. We're not surprised. A refined white wine with an incomparable flavor. Every sip is a mini Italian feast, one you won't want to miss. The aroma alone is a delight. You'll clearly smell stone fruit like apricots and a hint of peach. But you'll also clearly detect yellow fruit, flowers, and delicate herbs in Farina Lugana's elegant aroma. The taste is exactly what you'd expect from this wine. Full-bodied and round, refined on the palate, thirst-quenching to the last drop. In its robust structure, you'll discover beautiful nuances of peach, apricot, mango, and a hint of melon. We think it's a beautiful glass of wine. And we're not alone. The Farina Lugana received a 9- in the most recent edition of De Grote Hamersma!
