Finca Luzon is located near the medium-sized town of Jumilla, a stone's throw from Murcia. The winery is a late bloomer. Its major successes, like those of many other wineries, only arrived in the mid-1990s. During that period, the vineyards were replanted, and a vision was established that clearly focused on Monastrell, but also gave non-native grapes a prominent place in the vineyards, such as Syrah. Thanks to the warm—and sometimes slightly hot—climate, Syrah produces dazzling wines.

Finca Luzon's wines are truly magnificent. They consistently surprise us, and Finca Luzon Origen de Luzon Syrah has captured our attention once again. This full-bodied Syrah comes from the sweltering vineyards of Jumilla. The grapes are fermented at exceptionally cool temperatures, allowing the Syrah's intense aromas to fully develop. After aging for six months in French oak, Finca Luzon Origen de Luzon Syrah develops a generous bouquet of blooming violets, fresh blackberries, and dark cherries. There's also room for tension in this wine, with notes of smoke and pepper.
