The 2023 vintage in the Languedoc has been rated with an excellent score of 94 points by Robert Parker. This indicates a very high-quality harvest with wines that possess beautiful concentration and balance.

Vignobles Vellas's king's wine is called Cuvée Prestige, and it deserves it! This full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from the Montpellier wine region is a true addition to our selection. This full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon grows on old vines several meters deep in the ground. This allows the grapes to draw sufficient strength from the soil, while also enjoying the finest climate Southern France has to offer. The Vignobles Vellas vineyards enjoy plenty of cool temperatures, resulting in a long growing season, giving the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes ample time to ripen at their own pace.

At the Vignobles Vellas winery, respect for nature is paramount. That's why most of their vineyards are organic. This winery also stands out for its unique labels. Each wine has a unique label, which the winery uses to tell its own story. The 120-hectare vineyard is located on this family-owned estate. The winery also owns five distilleries in various regions of France. In these locations, they benefit from fantastic climates that the grapes thrive in. Warm days and cooler nights ensure perfect grape ripeness. This results in rich, fruity wines, concentrated and intense, as well as aromatic and elegant rosés and whites. In addition to their own vineyards, the winery's selection is further enhanced by partnerships with winemakers from the Languedoc, the Sud-Ouest, the Rhône Valley, and Provence. Thanks to these collaborations, they can offer wines from all regions of southern France.

The aroma and taste of Cuvee Prestige Cabernet Sauvignon 99 Blend

As soon as the harvest season begins, the grapes are hand-harvested in the early morning and then aged in oak barrels in the Vignobles Vellas cellars. During this period, the wine becomes round and powerful with a soft attack. On the nose, this translates into an initial burst of black and red fruit with light spice and a hint of oak. The palate of this Cuvée Prestige is both full and smooth, with initial black fruit complemented by pepper, vanilla, and licorice. What a delightful glass!
