The name Salentein certainly rings a bell. This powerhouse has a Dutch character. Founder Mijndert Pon was a celebrated business duo with his brother in the second half of the 20th century. The Pon name was inextricably linked to cars, and everyone wanted a "Pon car." In the early 1990s, things changed. Brother Ben moved to California (and founded Bernardus) while Mijndert sought his fortune in Mendoza, the heart of Argentine wine. Thanks in part to Mijndert's efforts, Argentine wines are now among the best in the world.
