The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

In the picturesque Loire Valleys, where winemaking traditions are deeply rooted, Vignobles Berthier proudly produces the Berthier Coteaux de Giennois Pinot Noir Gamay. This refined red wine combines 80% Pinot Noir with 20% Gamay, a blend characteristic of the winery's creative spirit. The careful selection of grapes from the argilo-calcaire soils produces a wine that beautifully captures the essence of the terroir. The vinification process involves alcoholic fermentation in tanks for 15-20 days, with daily reassembly to optimally extract the color and tannins. After this careful treatment, the wine is aged for a year in barrels, contributing to its complexity and refined character. These methods, deeply rooted in a philosophy where art and skill go hand in hand, result in a wine that will appeal to both lovers of robust and subtle wines.

The Berthier Coteaux de Giennois reveals its richness from the first contact with the nose. Aromas of ripe red and black berries, such as cherry and blackberry, mingle with hints of earthy notes and a subtle spice, derived from the careful barrel aging. A light chill before serving, recommended between 12-14 degrees Celsius, helps to further enhance these aromas, allowing the wine to reveal its full aromatic palette. On the palate, the experience is equally enriching. The wine offers a wonderful balance between the fruity vibrancy of Gamay and the structure and depth offered by Pinot Noir. Together, they create an elegant, almost silky mouthfeel, complemented by refined tannins and a persistent finish that lingers and beckons you to sip again.

This Berthier Coteaux de Giennois is not only a wonderful solo experience but also an excellent partner at the dining table. It harmonizes exceptionally well with a wide range of dishes, from refined charcuterie and aged hard cheeses to succulent grilled vegetables and meat dishes. Its versatility makes it ideal for social occasions, serving as an aperitif or the star of the evening with the main course. The combination of the wine's fruity, spicy notes with the rich flavors of the dishes elevates any meal. Whether it's an intimate dinner or a convivial gathering with friends, the Berthier Coteaux de Giennois Pinot Noir Gamay creates unforgettable moments and a tasting experience that delights the senses.
