Vintage Report
The 2023 vintage in the region is rated as excellent with a Parker score of 94. This indicates a year of very high quality for the wines produced.
Saint Saine Pinot Noir is a red wine produced from quality grapes from the Languedoc region. The old vines of Saint Saine are ripe for a very enjoyable glass of red wine. The vines, some twenty years old, have deep roots in the rich subsoil, which is essential for absorbing sufficient moisture in the warm climate. The soil contains a lot of clay with high acidity, something the Pinot Noir grape loves. The final harvest that winemaker Moec harvests is therefore of unparalleled quality, and he has designated this red wine a private reserve, a designation reserved for finer wines.
The harvest of the Saint Seine Pinot Noir
The harvest is brought in at the ideal ripeness of the grapes and is carried out entirely mechanically. The Pinot Noir grapes arrive in crates at Saint Seine, where they are sorted on sorting tables. Only the finest bunches make it into the bottle, and this is clearly evident in the rich aroma and smooth flavor of this red wine. After pressing, some of this wine is aged in oak for three to four months to give it more body. Well, it's a success, and the result is a beautiful red wine. The aroma and taste of the Saint Seine Pinot Noir
The aroma is wonderfully aromatic with notes of black cherries, ripe blackberries, and stewed plums. These are interspersed with a hint of vanilla and some spicy notes. The palate is wonderfully full and rich. The spicy notes are beautifully prominent, creating a perfect interplay with hints of black fruit, chocolate, and some light spice. The finish with a touch of vanilla and the long aftertaste complete this red wine. What a superb Saint Seine!Product details
